Phata Poster Nikhla Hero is an upcoming Bollywood action comedy film starring Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D'Cruz. The film will be produced by Ramesh Taurani of Tips Music Films and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, who earlier directed films such as Ghayal (1990), Andaz Apna Apna (1994), Khakee (2004) and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009). The film is set to release on 20 September 2013. The film has often been termed as a full on "mirchi" commercial entertainer. Apart from the casting and genre, the makers have refused to divulge into further details.
